Henri Coandă Airport was selected in the category that registered last year between 4 and 20 million passengers, along with airports in Athens, Dublin, Marseille, Istanbul and Prague, the Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in Athens being named winner. Worldwide, in the group where BHCIA has been nominated, airports like San Diego, South West Florida, Tampa - United States, Auckland - New Zealand, Kansai - Japan are also listed.

Routes Europe Awards Gala was hosted by Budapest, on May 13th, 2013, and it was attended by over 1,000 professionals in European and global civil aviation field.
