Bucharest airports registered an increase of 5.4% of the passenger traffic in December 2013, for the second month in a row the increase surpassing five percent, and all this as a result of the sustained efforts of Bucharest Airports National Company (BANC) to attract new airlines and to increase the number of routes operated from Bucharest.

The preliminary gross profit of BANC reached 78.003.701 lei in 2013, more than three times higher than the budgeted one. In 2013, the preliminary accomplished turnover of BANC was of 613.010.561 lei, with an increase of 10% compared to 2012.
